sustain Sumatra

sustain Sumatra, is an initiative that was launched after the Tsunami in Northern Sumatra as a way to provide relief efforts and long term reconstruction assistance to the region.

This broad-based effort will provide strong support to shift from emergency relief to long term reconstruction and sustainable development in areas of Asia heavily affected by the earthquake and tsunami that swept the region in December 2004. We are focusing on the province of Aceh and other parts of Sumatra, Indonesia, which suffered huge losses in terms of human lives and livelihoods.

The sustain Sumatra campaign is already underway in the field where we are working to identify and establish priority reconstruction needs and economic opportunities that can be implemented in the coming months and years. ForesTrade will use our extensive personnel and local operations throughout Sumatra and join forces with local farmer, civic, and governmental organizations there.

ForesTrade will be partnering with other businesses, environmental and development organizations to make sure that all funds and resources generated from the campaign are highly effective and applied with the highest integrity.
