Our organic program fully embraces the idea that it is our moral responsibility
to conserve fragile tropical ecosystems and maintain a harmonized balance
within the earth’s ecological systems. Walking our talk, we approach
organic and sustainable agriculture with three main goals in mind:

Certification & Compliance
International Certification Services, Inc.
 International
Certification Services (ICS) is ForesTrade’s primary organic certifier.
All of ForesTrade’s products are organically certified in accordance
with the U.S. National Organic Program and EU 2092/91.
Additionally, ForesTrade complies with the organic requirements for JAS/MAFF
Export, enabling us to supply our organic products to Japan.

Farm Verified Organic/IFOAM Accredited
Farm Verified Organic (FVO) is an IFOAM accredited program offered by
International Certification Services. We pride ourselves on the fact that
all of ForesTrade’s organic products, directly sourced from origin
are FVO certified and meet the more stringent IFOAM requirements.

 Stichting
Skal is the inspection body for organic products in the Netherlands and
ForesTrade Europa’s organic certifier.

NASAA
 The
National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia
(NASAA) is ForesTrade’s organic certifying agent for PT. ForesTrade
Indonesia, and consequently all of our products from Indonesia.
NASAA provides the physical organic inspections and certifications for
our partnering producers, processors and warehouses in Indonesia.
Our NASAA certification is in accordance with US/NOP, EU 2092/91,
JAS/MAFF Export and IFOAM standards.
Mayacert
 Our
certifier International Certification Services
contracts with Mayacert to conduct the physical organic inspections of
our partnering producers, processors and exporter in Guatemala. Mayacert
is a local certifier in Guatemala, and their familiarity with Guatemala’s
climate
and topography, indigenous Mayan dialects and cultural nuances is
an important bridge. Mayacert performs their inspections in accordance
with US/NOP, EU 2092/91, JAS/MAFF Export and IFOAM standards.
USDA/NOP
ForesTrade’s products are 100% Organic (unless otherwise noted)
and in full compliance with the USDA’s National Organic Program
(NOP).

 IFOAM's

socially and economically sound systems that are based on the principles
of Organic Agriculture.
